Website Evaluations

Your school or organization may be excluding potential students, customers, and patrons without your knowledge.

The Great Lakes Accessible IT Initiative completes website accessibility evaluations on request. Web pages will be evaluated against a subset of the industry-standard Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Standards and the Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines (WAI).

The evaluations consist of a report detailing errors, browser compatibility issues, and accessibility checkpoints passed, along with links to resources to conduct additional accessibility and functional usability tests. To learn more complete the request an evaluation form.

Companies/For-Profit Organizations

For-profits and other non-educational entities will receive evaluations of 3 commonly accessed pages:

  • Home Page
  • Employment (if applicable)
  • About Us/Contact Us

Additional pages can be evaluated upon request. Complete site evaluations and e-commerce accessibility evaluations and reports are also available.

Educational entities will receive evaluations of the following:
